“Be the change you want to see in the world”: Mahatmas Ghandi

As a scholar, photographer, videographer, journalist, activist and humanitarian I aspire to use my multimedia skills to document the world. I have a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Photography from Washington University in St. Louis and Master’s of Arts in African Studies and Research from Howard University. I’m also a second year doctorate student in Mass Communications and Media Studies. I have traveled to over 30 countries on six continents and am fluent in French and Kiswahili. Over the last eight years I’ve worked extensively in television, video production and journalism with MTV, BET, Newsweek and USAID. As a scholar, I have presented my research at several conferences at UCLA, UCSB and with the African Studies Association and International Communication Association. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, I currently reside in the Washington, DC area.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
